Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition Form.

Maltina teacher of the year competition application details has been announced. The Nigerian Breweries, makers of Maltina drink, wishes to inform the general public that the Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition application for the year 2016 has commenced.

The Teacher of the year initiative aims to recognize and celebrate exceptional teachers in Nigeria. The initiative is open to teachers in ALL secondary schools across the country. There will be champions from each state of the federation and the FCT from which the overall winner will emerge

The Maltina Teacher of the Year and State champions will be honoured as part of the celebration of 2016 United Nations World Teachers’ Day on Wednesday, October 5, 2016.

How To Apply for Maltina Teacher of the Year Competition 2016:

1. Interested teachers are to download application forms from the link below;

2. Complete and submit application forms using one of the following methods;
   (i) Upload application forms and documents on the website - http://maltina-nigeria.com/maltina-teacher-of-the-year.php(ii) Send the forms and your documents by Email to - maltinateacheroftheyear@heineken.com
   (iii) Send by post to - Maltina Teacher of the Year, P. M. B. 12632, Marina, Lagos.

Note: Before you submit, ensure you have downloaded and filled the Application Forms.

The 5-step evaluation process of the entries received will result in 37 champions (one per state and the FCT). From amongst these State Champions, the Teacher of the Year will emerge.

Closing Date:

Application closes on Thursday, 30th of June, 2016.

childhood memories of Nigeria

My childhood memories of Nigeria start mid 70s onwards. Electricity, education, running water, roads, TV … these were just showing up in the inner parts of Nigeria where my dad was a civil servant. Even though Nigeria was less developed, when I compare my memories of Nigeria from those years to later ones, I get a sense that earlier on the country felt younger, more vital, more robust. It felt wild (in a good way), and clean. There were desperados around back then, for sure, but somehow the people felt less desperate. Everything was cheaper of course. I think my dad gave me 5 kobo ever few days, and that ran a long way. I remember buying Bazooka Joe bubble gum.

[Photos]13-Year-Old Akwa Ibom Girl Gives Birth To A Baby Boy Via C-Section

Ekemini, the 13 year old girl pregnant girl who was rescued by Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven and her husband David Emmannuel Umem, has given birth to her baby, a boy, through Caesarean operation. Anja announced this on her facebook wall.

She wrote:

“This morning at 10 Ekemini gave birth ( caesarean operation ) to a healty young little boy . Ekemini is the girl, only 13 years old who David and our team rescued a few weeks ago and brought to safety to our orphanage So please say Hello to the new member of our big family at DINNødhjælp/ACAEDF Childrens Home He is just so sweet and adorable and I cannot wait to hold him in my arms The operation went fine but Ekemini is a little sick and very tired. But she is with David and our team at the hospital now and they will all take good care of her and our little sweetheart Love from Anja and David.
